PVC flex load
Using a piece of PVC pipe about 5 foot long and flex it to bow back.
Plant the bottom of the PVC pipe directly in front of your back foot

Routine to stride
Rehearse your routine stepping into the box.
Get into the relaxed position then into ready position.
Continue into the load.
Land your stride.
Check body position at each point. Go slow and feel each movement. You must maintain balance, body control and avoid the hands dropping at any point.
Place something under your hands/knob at the ready position to avoid dropping
Try this same drill with a medicine ball, instead of bat.
Stride back
Transfer weight back, maintain proper body posture.
Stride. back, don't hop which leads to a bouncy bat path.
Avoid collapsing the back side when landing: leg, hip, shoulders and hands. Back side should be tall when loading "into" it.
Back knee should stay inside the back foot.
Continue with swing, working on center spot location with the tee. the ball should be hit towards center field.
Try this same drill with a medicine ball, instead of bat.
Flamingo drill
Load into the flamingo and hold for 3 seconds
When the leg lifts, you will feel the top half begin to separate from the lower, as the hands move into the load.
Maintain balance and a strong tall back side with proper posture over your feet.
Front elbow will be just above the front knee with shoulders tilting downward.
Let the body fall forward with the stride, we don't want to reach with our stride.
Body control with proper posture and balance is the focus here, not power and pop off the bat.
Continue swing to center spot location hitting the ball towards center.
This drill can be done with tee, soft toss and front toss, as well as replacing bat with a medicine ball.
Stride pause swing
Begin with your routine into the box. remember to pick up the pitcher to improving our ball tracking process.
Continue your swing and pause on stride for 2 seconds landing on the ball of your foot. Maintain balance, body control, posted front leg, and upper half back.
Continue through swing, as you stomp your front heal.
This drill can be done on the tee, soft toss and front toss.
Full swing
Begin with your routine into box, remember to pick up the pitcher to improving our ball tracking process.
Work with tee in middle spot, The ball should be going directly to center. If not, adjust the contact point by moving the tee, or possibly, where you're at in the box.
Focus on mechanics, the stance, load and stride. Requires body control and balance. Don't let power and pop on the ball be the priority here.
